This lovely and very honest 356C is fully numbers matching and presented in its original color combination of Light Ivory exterior paint with a Black leatherette interior. Accompanied by a very extensive history file, service books and toolkit shows that this car has been in great care all its life. A solid California car.

The car is a great matching number daily driver and can be enjoyed as is or prepared for shows. Universally the Porsche 356C is regarded as the best driving and most sophisticated of the Porsche 356 generation. It is almost certain that the mileage of this 1964 356C is original. The paperwork shows a rebuild around 68,000 and top end around 70,000 which was around 2005-2008 and witnessed by its current owner. The odometer shows 73,000 or so on it now.

History

Chassis #217*** was completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in March 1964 and supplied new as a Left Hand Drive 1964 model by VW/Porsche dealer Van Wyk's of Bakersfield, California.  It is still in its original color combination of Light Ivory body paint and Black interior.

SUBSEQUENT OWNERS: Unknown

Comment: No record of subsequent owners is available. It is assumed the car spent its entire life on the West Coast as it was recently obtained in Nevada.
